The Wait

I have posted before that one of my favorite songs is Francesca Batestelli's "Time in Between". I feel like it symbolizes a lot of "waiting" seasons in my life. From when I was separated from Josh... to waiting to be married... to waiting to get pregnant... and now waiting for Jude.

But it's the time in between
That I fall down to my knees
Waiting on what You'll bring
And the things that I can't see
I know my song's incomplete
Still I'll sing in the time in between

As the weeks have passed and continue to pass... I am getting more tired, exhausted and anxious to meet this sweet little thing that God has blessed me to be able to carry in my womb.

It's hard. Really hard.

I have many emotional days where crying is a part of them. Other days I am overjoyed and can't stop laughing... there are just SO many unknowns with what's left. How will my labor/delivery be? Will be be 100% healthy? What will he look like? Lots of questions....

I know I am not alone in this, but I can't help but get frustrated because as a planner/type-a person this is a really humbling process. God has done a lot in my heart to prepare for the arrival of Jude and I want to be ready! :) I want to be prepared to mother him in the way God would have me too!

I have been clinging to a lot of verses and the peace found in scripture... here are some of my favorites in this time:

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Psalm 127:3
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

You're so beautiful! I love seeing your bump growth. I think this was around the time I began questioning too. But don't worry- everything will be fine!! He will come when he's ready and you will do great. And then you'll never know how you lived without him. That simple ;)

My life has been kind of the same way-lots of waiting! God has been teaching me through each season of the waiting, though, so it's worth it :) Lots of unknowns during this time-thank God for his truth to get us through!!!

As my mother always tells me: You are never "ready" for a baby. You adapt and in doing so, become the wonderful mother you always intended to be.

It will come naturally and beautifully for you, Ria. Keep your chin up and remember, He is on your side.
