Week 22 Bumpdate

22 Weeks... Only 18-ish to go! I can't wait to see Baby Jude's sweet face :)

Size of baby:  The length of a spaghetti squash! I love squash! He weighs almost 1 pound now... and is growing, growing. I can feel his growth! Not to mention this mama is growing too :)

Symptoms: Unfortunately I caught some type of bug. I thought I "beat" it last Friday when I was sick but it hit with vengeance yesterday and I couldn't keep ANYTHING down. It was awful! I was starting to cramp/feel mild contractions so I knew I had to go in. After two bags of fluids via an IV... I was feeling a bit more like myself. Happy to be able to rest today and be 100% by Thanksgiving!

Cravings: Being hungry all the time is my craving! Seriously.... I need 6ish meals a day, not kidding. With this "bug" however I was happy if I could keep my chicken broth down...

Something you Miss: I am humbled everyday when I think about the fact that this is SO not about me! I would say that I don't MISS this... but I am learning a lot through pregnancy. It is so amazing and the miracle of life boggles my mind to actively think about it....

Milestones: Josh feeling Jude kick for the first time!! We were at the movie Moneyball (a movie about baseball) and he felt him. It was so special and Josh says it's a "sign" that he is going to be good at sports. Ha!
Looking Forward To: We get to see baby Jude again on Monday via ultrasound! I am really looking forward to seeing how much he has grown since our last ultrasound. They are checking my placenta again so I am just praying I have made progress and all the nutrients are getting to Jude via my umbilical cord!

Prayer for our baby this week:

God, I can't thank you enough for keeping Jude healthy despite my sickness. I am so thankful that even in my human-ness you are worthy and I can always trust that you are in control. This week Jude is starting to hear more and more. I pray that as his Mama, I can speak words of truth and not death in his life. I pray also that he will always know the love of the father through Josh and I and the words we speak. Please continue to protect Jude in my womb and help me to be wise in all my decisions. With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I am blown away by how much we have to be thankful for. I could go on and on... but I am truly forever grateful for this gift of life we have in Baby Jude. I love you Lord, Amen.
