Low-Lying & God's Masterpiece!

When we think about it... there is SO much to be thankful for!

Being that November is the MONTH of Thankfulness.... I can't help but just pause and praise God for his goodness in my life and so many others.
I'm going through a bible study on Acts. It is such a challenging book to read and yet so uplifting! I just read/studied through Chapter 14. Paul & Barnabus were missionaries (sharing the message of Christ) yet faced INTENSE opposition. God brought them to different cities and after the times of great hardship he refreshed them. How great is our God?

Just this week we found out that I have a "low-lying" placenta. I had no idea what it meant, but the nurse explained it to be something that they just want to monitor in my pregnancy. Often times they see the placenta move up and all is well for the baby & delivery. It is all so technical to me, but Josh's Gigi (grandma) was a labor and delivery nurse for MANY years and she said it is pretty common in the early-middle parts of pregnancy. We are believing that it will move so that I can deliver our sweet babe naturally!

This sunset was painted in the sky last night. AMAZING! I couldn't help but think it was a specific reminder that the God of the universe was showing me that in this hardship.... he also will bring beauty. I am not complaining and I am SO thankful for this reminder specific to me.

So many people face beyond hard things in pregnancy, before pregnancy, after... So I am praising God for my situation and trusting him to do what only HE can do. I trust that for you as well. I love praying for those who are trying to conceive... thank you for sharing (you know who you are!)

Hey Ria, congrats on your pregnancy! What an exciting time :) I was just reading your post and thinking how much we seem to have in common. I am a photographer in Menomonie and first saw your blog from Erika's wedding photos. I also had a low-lying placenta with my babies and everything turned out fine. My husband Josh and I are also studying Acts in our Bible study group and just finished chapter 14. Anyhow, just thought I'd drop you a comment and say hello :)

I had a similar situation when I was pregnant with my son. The Lord moved up my placenta by 30 weeks, but I was able to have more ultrasounds with him which I loved :)

We have SO much to be thankful for! I too had a low lying placenta, and in just a few weeks(4-6 I believe) it shifted and all was fine. Just do what the doc says; take it super easy, don't lift more than 20 lbs and take it easy!
