GOD'S FAITHFULNESS: The Journey

You know, I have always said... God is faithful. I think it would be safe to say that I DO believe that statement. I have seen the proof in my life that he has been faithful over and over and over again. To be more specific.... this is what faithfulness means to me:

Steadfast, Following through on his promises!!

In this journey preparing for becoming pregnant, motherhood and life changing before our eyes -  I can't help but explode with the reality that God's timing is ultimately ALWAYS better than ours. If it was up to me, we would have got pregnant right away when we "wanted" too.... AGAIN GOD'S TIMING IS BEST!

Being Due in March .... there are SO many advantages & perfectly timed situations that it is clearly God's amazing way of reminding us that he's in control and he's got this all thought through. Let me list a few....

1. It's March! Pregnancy through the winter... no sticky hot days!
2. Josh will be done student teaching end of February or early March!
3. No weddings I am photographing in March!
4. Jan & Feb are the slowest photography months.... when I will be the "biggest"!
5. Will be able to take a full month off and slowly go back to photography in April/May

OUR GOD IS FOR US!!! He has a plan for us that may not make sense in the very moment .... but he's working intricately to put the pieces and details together! I want to encourage you that it's not always going to be easy and we are going to wonder at times....

BUT HE IS FAITHFUL! He proves himself and wants us to see that in our own lives...

Please let me know if I can pray for you in any specific area that you are waiting on... He knows your desires, he sees your questions - he wants you to rely on him in it all. Send me an email (ria.thurston@gmail.com) or leave a comment. I would LOVE to pray for you and encourage you today! Much love!

Ria, this is beautiful. My husband and I are in that waiting phase of getting pregnant, but we trust that God's timing will be better than our own. Congrats again!

I love this post! You are so right and I have to sometimes remind myself that the creator of the entire universe is looking out for me and aligning everything perfectly for mine and my family's futures. Congrats by the way!

Beautiful post! I love coming here and reading your encouraging words. I am a young wife too and if it were up to me I'd be pregnant right now, but the hubby doesn't seem to agree and clearly the Lord is on his side because it hasn't happened yet. I understand the financial aspect of having children, which is where the hubs is coming from since I lost my teaching job in June and he lost his job in March. Needless to say I am definitely learning to let go and let God at this point in my life.

I'm excited to follow you on this amazing journey! Thank you again for unknowingly providing a source of comfort on some days when things just seem especially difficult.

sorry for writing a novel :)

Thanks for the reminder today. If it were up to me, I would have become a mom a LONG time ago, but that just obviously isn't God's plan right now. So I'm learning to find what He wants for me in this time. I'm tired of wasting my life wishing for something that may not happen for a very long time, so I'm excited about my plans to go back to school this fall. I know that God will bless us with a child when it is the absolute perfect time!

I'm definitely realizing the perfection of HIS timing. His timing will ultimately always be revealed, even it takes us a bit to understand what in the world He's doing!

I so needed to hear this today. I have been struggling with His timing in finding a job that is lucrative enough to get us to a good spot financially while also desperately wanting to pursue my dream of doing what you do: photography! it is all so frustrating and I am trying so hard to be patient, to give Him the control and trust in His timing but it is so hard. thanks for posting this. :)

Thank you for this post. I'm actually blogging about the EXACT same thing right now... trying to trust God's perfect plan for me and my little family at this time in our lives full of changes and unknowns. :) We're trying for another baby and unlike our first who was "un planned' we are finding it harder this time to get pregnant and I find myself crying or getting upset over why it's so hard when last time it was so easy. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Looking forward to following your blog through this exciting journey!
