Let's be honest...

Do you ever feel like you want to be in the NEXT season of life? Do you ever look at someone's photos on facebook/blogs/google and wish that was YOUR life? Do you ever question why God may have you where you are right now for a reason?

I have answered YES to those questions a lot lately. To be quite honest, it can sometimes be frustrating to be in a season and just wishing you were in the next. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God has be in THIS season for a reason, but it is so easy to question....

I posted the link to THIS Steven Furtick blog last week.

Quote: "Sometimes God will prevent us from a certain goal at a time that does not coincide with His will. It’s not that we’re not doing what’s right. It’s just that we’re not doing it with the right timing.
He’s not saying not ever. He’s just saying not now."

I pray that encourages you today. It encourages me to know that I am doing what God has for me now and I need to be CONTENT in that, trusting that my God knows best always. All times. He is in control.

Quote: "You’ll eventually get to your goal or dream too. In the meantime, you’ll just have to trust that if God is preventing you from getting somewhere, it’s because you’re exactly where you need to be. For now."

Great post and a great reminder for me right now! Sometimes I get so frustrated with how things are in my life and I question why things can't be different but it's not necessarily that God doesn't want these changes to happen, He just doesn't want it to happen yet.

Thank you Ria!

I was having that dicussion with somebody just yesterday is regards to work vs. SAHW/M and stuff like that. This is the season God has me in right now and I have to be content with that. God will move me when it's HIS TIME...and in the meantime, I just keep truckin' along, praising Him for his provision and FAITHFULNESS in all things.
Great post; wonderful reminder!

I think this all the time!! Just listened to a sermon this morning on God's perfect timing. It is just like you said, he doesnt allow us certain things until it is the exact moment he has chosen because only He knows when it will be the best. He waits for the his perfect timing because that is when it will be better than at any other time, and he wants the very best for us. Love you girl!! Your posts are always so encouraging.

So very encouraging and So very TRUE! He has a plan for everyone and it can be frustrating not knowing why you aren't in one season or the other. I've been here, and it does take patience and waiting, and definitely listening!

Beautiful post! I have had to remember this truth many times lately... making sure I am not trying to get ahead of myself and missing out on all the joys of this moment and what God wants for me right now.

Ria, I so wish that I had more time to keep up with your blog. Your posts are always so good!

It always seems that I choose the perfect time to check in on you. This is just exactly what I needed to hear today. I can feel that God has big things in store for me in the near future, but of course I keep finding myself wishing that the future would come right now. I've never been the most patient person in the world, but I know that God is taking this opportunity to teach me about patience. If all of my dreams came true right now, it might be great, but I know that it will be way even better if it happens in His timing. Good things come to those who wait.
