Rainnnnnnn

When I think of rain, I think of all things being made NEW. You know, rain can be quite destructive {floods, leaking, ruining your perfectly styled hair} but it can also be quite essential {times of drought, brown grass needing it to turn then green, someone in the dessert needing water}... Rain is a powerful thing.

This past week in MN it has seemed that more days have been raininy than sunny. Now, I know this isn't the best weather and of course I would LOVE for it to be sunny everyday but I think this is an analogy for a lot of things. April showers bring May flowers, right? Well I think...

April showers bring fresh newness.

New things are on the horizon for my life and I can't help but praise God for this time of "rain". Yeah it it isn't very pretty and it's kind of a weird transition... but it is essential. Getting things off and running could be destructive BUT instead, I see it as essential. Tomorrow is my last day of work at a company that I have reported to every M-F for 3 years. Different. Change. Newness.

I am beyond excited about this new adventure in my life and at the same time it could become really scary. People are always asking me... Are you nervous? What are you going to do? Are you sure? No, I am not nervous. Yes, I am sure. I am confident and can respond with that because I so clearly know that THIS is where God is calling me to walk into and trust him with for the next season...

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps. Prov 16:9

Praying that you can see RAIN as a helpful analogy in your lives.... so that it can and will bring NEWNESS for you too! It is making the grass green, it is making US grow. Be blessed today, sweet friends :-)

Great thoughts and such a positive perspective! We've had days and days of rain here, but I suppose I should be thankful for the green and new growth that God will bring when that sun does come out! :)
