Sister Date & Rainbows

My sister Jonna treated me to a Pedicure for my birthday!! I redeemed the "Sister Date" last night and it was oh so lovely! :-) I love pedicures, especially in the winter time!

Here is my cute certificate from my bday!!

 Best Part... Warm Towels on your feet!!

My cute date ... Sister Jonna! {cell phone pic}

I am so proud of my sister and she will be married in LESS than 5 months! We were talking about her wedding, upcoming events, everything. It was so fun :-) It's important to spend time with family. Seriously!!

This morning as I was making breakfast... I saw a rainbow that was created from the sun with my glass cup. As I took a drink of the apple juice I was reminded of the PROMISE we find in Rainbows! See, rainbows are beautiful... right? Yes! They are also symbolic in the bible and truly always have been in my life. It means a PROMISE!

When the storms of life come and crazy things are happening... rainbows often are the after math and beautifully appear once the storm is gone. I love that, because it means that beauty is going to come from the ashes!!! Joy from the mourning! Whatever you are going through {big or little}... remember that when we trust Jesus and put things in his hands --- RAINBOWS WILL COME!!!!!

"To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair." Isaiah 61:3 {NLT}

Praying for the commenter above me. How devastating! But this post is so true Ria, time heals all. There is always calming after the storm!
