"My flesh and heart may FAIL, but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever." Psalms 74:26
This morning, I don't have a lot of time but I was reading this verse... and I couldn't help but think about the times in life where I tried and failed.
To name one experience... Freshman year - trying out for the musical/play with my best friend Katty. Yep. We both didn't make it. Fail. Yeah, that could have been seen as a terrible thing and it probably was when we were moldable freshman in high school, but I look back on that and saw that it formed who I was.
Failure is only true defeat if we allow it to be.
Yesterday, I was reading a blog post by Steven Furtick - (you have to check it out!) I want to leave you with this today:
"There’s a greater risk than taking a risk and failing. And that’s taking none and failing. And maybe even worse, taking none and succeeding." (Steven Furtick blog post)
Be blessed sweet friends!

Mmmm That is Rich and filled with God! Thank you Ria for the reminder, I have been feeling like I've been failing lately and this verse and your post was exactly what I needed to read. Thank you Friend!
It is so nice to hear this Ria!! I need to remind myself of this everyday. I would much rather take a risk and fail, then to constantly think of what could have happened if I would have tried! Thanks for sharing, you are always so wise!
The company I used to work for had a motto kind of like you're describing. They always said, "Fail Forward." They didn't care if you failed, as long as you learned from it and it led you somewhere else...hopefully forward, which it almost always does.
That's a fantastic quote! Thanks for sharing!
