Alabaster Box

Awhile back, I shared that someone once told me that "Ria" in hebrew means a sweet smelling fragrance. Since then - I have clung to that information and asked Jesus to make my life a sweet smelling aroma to him. My deepest desire is that in all that I do this sweet "smell" would be sweet in God's eyes and others would recognize him IN me.

I discovered Julie Meyers... she is a prophetic worship leader for the International House of Prayer and I just purchased her CD on itunes.

Pause today {for only 4 minutes} and let this song wash over you:

This comes from a story in the bible about a woman that broke open her Alabaster jar (perfume) at the feet of Jesus. Some people saw it as absurd because of how COSTLY it was, yet to Jesus it was so significant and symbolic of what was to come ... {see more: Matthew 26: 6-13}

"For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved
and those who are perishing."
2 Corinthians 2:15

Mmm I could listen to that song on repeat all day! That was the perfect way to start off my day here at work. Thank you so much for posting it.

And by the way I think you do a great job living out your life as a sweet smelling aroma for Christ. You are an inspriation and an excellent example of someone who truly loves Jesus with all their heart. Have a wonderful day friend!
