Words I HIGHLY dislike...

These words drive me CRAZY! I know so many people going through HURT and PAIN in these situations. It breaks my heart in so many pieces. Life is hard. God never promised it would be easy:

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:1-4

Not IF you face trials of many kinds, but whenever you face them...

JOY? Consider it PURE JOY? How does that happen? I honestly do not know, but it's possible. God uses situations and these words I highly dislike to remind us that he WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE US!

I love this new song by Phil Wickham -- "In My Love" Can it encourage YOU or someone you know today? Share it with them!!!

(p.s. It's not on youtube, vimeo or anything yet, but another blogger posted a stream on his blog, see link below or here)

There is a reason, there’s a plan
There is a God Who understands
He’s got your life inside His hands
Have no fear
Cuz He says
In all your hurt and in all your pain
I’ll never leave, I won’t forsake
You’re my child and I’m your God
Come and rest in my love

Have you ever noticed how small those words that you listed are when compared to other words? Example:
Don't they sound bigger and brighter? I'm sure that is not by accident. Words are just a grouping of sounds that we put meaning to. It is the meaning that we attach emotion to which is why when you have the words I've listed in your life the other words listed seem so small. Take care, my Friend.

What a great reminder through all the crazy hard stuff in this world God will never leave us. His death on the cross and being raised from the dead is our sure hope and comfort! I love the song too!

I'm not going to lie, when I go through some tough words like that, I'm not happy about it. But when I'm starting to come out on the other side, that's when I see that it's just molding me into who I am. I have to learn the hard way in everything apparently! :) Great post!

Love the verse, Life is never easy and everything we go through the Lord is always trying to teach us something from it, but he is always there for support and Love. It's amazing. Loved the blog!

Such a great song! It is so hard for us to face troubles and know that it is for God's glory. I wish it were easier, but it is not!

Those words are all scary, but so brutally real. Every single person I know, every person in the world will have to deal with those words and it's how you overcome them with faith and understanding that makes it all worthwhile.

Family and friends are there for us for a reason.

I agree - those six words are some of the absolute worst. I like your positivity! I'm really crappy at giving positive advice to someone who's enduring a tough situation - but the best I can do, and something i believe in that's sort of generic but makes sense, is that "it'll be ok - everything will always be ok." Weird, lame, simple - but it works for me!
