"Lead Me": Music for Thought

Have you heard of Sanctus Real? I had. However, NEVER heard this song until Sonshine and they played it….

A-m-a-z-i-n-g. “Lead Me” by Sanctus Real on Air1Radio
The lyrics at the end…

So Father, give me the strength - To be everything I'm called to be - Oh, Father, show me the way ---
To lead them…Won't You lead me?
To lead them with strong hands - To stand up when they can't-

Don't want to leave them hungry for love - Chasing things that I could give up…

I feel this is the cry of SO many husbands. As a wife to Joshua, I am called to be his helpmate. I SO desire for his cry to be that God would LEAD us. Josh is to LEAD me and this song makes me want break down. IT IS SO TRUE! No one can do this life alone. ESPECIALLY marriage. It is such a gift, but such a high calling… and can seem SO overwhelming. Yet, that is why God is RIGHT there to be the ultimately one leading us!!!

God cares and HE will lead you!

---> I am so looking forward to spending a FUN date night tonight at the new Twins Stadium with my sweet darling hubby. GO TWINS! [pictures to come]

Oh man, I LOVE this song! I am an avid K-Love Listener and I heard this song awhile back when they featured Sanctus Real (love them!) and now it's played several times a day. I get goosebumps every time I hear it, the song has so much truth to it and is such an honest plea to the Lord!

Incredibly beautiful song. In fact I'm crying listening to it, it really hit me. I know I sometimes say or do things that prevent my Husband from Leading me. When in reality, I desperately want him to Lead Me. He is such a great leader and I need to step back and let him do his job. Thank you for posting this, it's beautiful.

I hope you had your hubby have a wonderful date night. God Bless!

Also I gave you a blog award today on my blog!

Oh my, the song is so beautiful. It seems that so often the husband's/father's role is overlooked. So much is expected of them. It must be so hard. I love the point that you made, though. God is always willing to help us. All of us. I loved this. Thanks for sharing, Ria!
