Where does the time go?

Where does the weekend time go? It feels like it was just Friday night :) Mmm… we had a lovely and full weekend.

Full of WOOD floor laying. [Note to self: If we ever consider doing this again, maybe just think again.] Ha! It was a patience building task, let’s just say that…

Luckily my parents came over to help on Saturday…. We SO appreciated it! My mom is so silly. She had come from a teacher re-licensure workshop and taught me about “crossing midline”…

Ha, here we are being silly. I will have to explain it in depth another time. OR have her guest post, now that’s an idea!

We finished the living room and most of the kitchen. Our last little portion is the bathroom and getting everything back to normal. Here is the view from my couch in the living room

laminate4 (sorry poor quality from my phone again, sometimes it’s just easier!)
It was successful and I LOVE how it looks, the process is just VERY tedious. We are now looking for a new rug for the living room. Oh, home improvements could NEVER end. We are going to be DONE for awhile though! Phewwww.

Mother’s Day Looked like this…

It was quite lovely to spend time with both Mama’s and our families. There is something so sweet about it, and I couldn’t help but think of friends who have LOST their moms or LOST children yesterday as we drove home.

My heart breaks for you and I can’t imagine, but I do know a Savior that wants to heal the broken pieces. He is the only one I can run to. SERIOUSLY. For all hard things, good things, happy things…

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I need that PEACE this week. More to come on what’s going on in my world and this upcoming weekend. God is working!
Have a great start to your week!!

Thanks for those words Ria. I lost my mom last year Sept 14th. I miss her soooo much. I know she is with the Lord and I will meet her again. It gives me comfort ...but the pain can still be there. I also lost my dear mother in law and my grandmother too..all last year. Three very important godly woman in my life, it was a lonely mother's day for us. I was the only mom there.

So you hold on to all the precious moment you have with your mama and your mama in law. They are the best.

Yeah--home improvements/flooring can be such a patience-tester!
It's looking lovely, though, and it'll be so nice when finished.
