Busy or Full?

Is being BUSY a bad thing?I once heard someone say they responsed to the all-too-farmilar question of "How are you?" with, "Life is FULL." Instead of using the word BUSY it was replaced with "FULL". I really liked that. It made sense :)

This week is FULL. Lots going on and many gooooood things! I am so excited about what God is doing it's crazy!!

F: Finding time to spend doing my homework this week has been quite the challenge. I am training in a new gal at work - which is fun, but my "downtime" that was spent on homework is not there as much. It's all good! Need to focus more at home, then :)

U: Understanding the REAL meaning of EASTER coming up! What a blessed season and I am trying to REALLY reflect on that this week! :)

L: Loving the opportunities I have had to share THIS with the people this week -- It has been sooo rewarding!

L: Loving the nice weather!! There is nothing like beautiful, breezy days after winter. Please keep them coming!

Has your week been FULL? How so?

You are right! Full sounds so much better than busy! One thing I pray about regarding the issue of being "busy" & what I fill my days with is this question to answer as I decide what to take on... I ask God to show me what He wants me to be focusing on in a day & pray about the difference {and discernment} to understand His will for me. Is it "good" business for me, or is it "God" business. There are always plenty of good things to be doing & if we get covered up in those we can be so distracted from what He is trying to show us & how He wants to use us. The enemy loves an overcommitted Christian - so busy with every "good" thing to do that we are spread thin, worn out & inneffective in the Kingdom! Have a blessed Easter!

I am stealing that statement! I love the idea of saying Full instead of Busy.

Ria, I love this! I am ALWAYS telling people how busy we are and it just sounds so much more positive to say we're full. And being full is good!!

I like being "full"!! When you are full you are usually "satisfied" as well - It's much more positive!

"Full" is definitely better than "busy"...although if I'm honest, I have to admit that my life has been more "busy" than "full" lately. Can anyone out there identify with this?

I found a great article on this very dilemma...you can check it out through our blog, at http://plaideggnog.blogspot.com/2010/03/reflection-for-holy-week-busyness.html.

Have a blessed (and full, not busy) Holy Week, everyone! :-)

The weather is fantastic down here in Winona. I have to walk across our yard to do laundry and I wish I could stay outside and fold my clothes ;) But I'm not a fan of people seeing my intimates...so I guess I won't :(

I like the idea of life being FULL as well. It does not automatically add the stress that is associated with a BUSY life! The idea of life being FULL makes me appreciate the people and activities that fill my life.

I am curious what your health and wellness thing is. I currently have no idea what it is, how much time it takes, and what you do.

Thanks Ria :)
