How often do we lay down our selfishness for others... because we WANT to? I have been working through this and learning that SACRIFICE can come in may different ways: money, resources, time...

That's my big one: TIME

I feel like there is never enough TIME to get everything done. Especially at the start of a new week looking at what's on the agenda for the week... it can be slightly overwhelming:
  • Being a Wife
  • Spending time in the word!
  • Homework
  • Work
  • Cleaning
  • Cooking
  • Friends/Social Outings
  • Meetings
  • [in no particular order]

*deep breath*

It's obtainable and not too much, really!! The Lord gives grace to the HUMBLE. I am putting it out there and honestly, I feel like I have not done the best at managing my time recently. Making sacrifices in my TIME is what I am really trying to work towards!!!

Last week at work I had the opportunity to give some of my TIME to Kids Against Hunger organization. It was incredible!

[gotta love my determined face - me on the right, oh & the hair net ;)]

Here was our "team" - Mission in Motion is our workplaces vision!

We packaged enough meals to feed 32 children for a WHOLE year. Unbelievable. It is truly a cool organization that is similar to Feed My Starving Children. You put together a package of soy, chicken powder, veggies, and rice and it is full of nutrition! It is the best meal for a malnourished body. What a cool way to give my "time".

Do you struggle with managing your TIME? What has helped you?

I used to struggle a lot with managing my time. Part of what changed is me quitting my job, so now all I have to focus on is school/studying and taking care of the dogs/house/hubby. Finding time in the Word every day has become part of my routine--but it certainly wasn't when I held a job.

I can, however, sympathize with your struggle for time management. It's difficult and one thing I learned when I was in the workforce is that sometimes, you just have to say NO--to friends, to colleagues, to family--in order to keep your sanity, and in order to keep your God in the #1 position.

Hugs, girl. I know it can be rough.

What a great way to USE your time, Ria! :) I think its important to manage your time and do know what you can't do and can do. I actually think this is one of my better traits (one of few), but I think the most important thing is to give God your day and let Him work through you to get all you need to do be done... I don't know if that makes sense, but it really works in my life :) I love you, friend!

What a great opportunity to spend time with those less fortunate. It's always so easy to spend time thinking about your woes, but there's always someone less fortunate than you out there.

what a great way to give back. i understand the time management thing. the hardest thing for me to accept that i can't do it all AND to ask for help. for some reason i feel like i should always be able to do it myself. but i can't. keep working on the time management thing ... i think it's something everyone struggles with!
