Attitude Check!

Story Time: When I was in 6th grade I had a wonderful teacher... Miss Jenny Johnson. She was one-of-a-kind and still teaches 6th grade. Her heart is totally for Jesus and I often remember spending more time doing bible than math or science. She was MY kind of teacher! I grew soooo much in 6th grade.

If we ever had a consequence for talking when we were suppose to be quiet or another "childish" situation.... (which happened to me quite often) - We had to write part of this quote OVER and OVER again. I wish that I had it memorized now, but parts of it have stuck with me...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The longer I love, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church....a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes."

Charles R. Swindoll

Be encouraged today... we can take action! We are in charge of our attitudes. I hope that you are challenged by this and that it may help you in some way today... whatever the circumstance! ... I know it helps me re-focus, I am guilty too!

Thanks for the comment!
The flash I'm using is a Vivitar 2800 Auto Thyristor. It's 30 years old and a hand me down from my dad's film SLR. I do NOT recommend it. It takes forever to fire up and my light meter doesn't recommend it. It's free though so I'm using it for now!
What I would recommend is a Speedlite 430EX if you are a Canon user. That's what I will be buying as soon as I can afford to do so!

Oops! I meant my light meter doesn't recognize it.

Great post! I am really liking my new study "Lord Change My Attitude" by James McDonald! It parallels the Israelites attitudes as they were led out of Egypt. Boy were they grumbly people!
