Time in Between

I re-heard a song on the radio today that brought me to tears. Ever since I first heard it - Wow! It brings me back to a very hard and beautiful 360 days of "time in between" in my life.

Time In Between
Francesca Battisetlli

But it's the time in between
That I fall down to my knees
Waiting on what You'll bring
And the things that I can't see
I know my song's incomplete
Still I'll sing in the time in between

I went to the Honor Academy with Teen Mania Ministries
[August '07 - August '08]

One of the requirement/rules of the program was NO romantic relationships. This meant NO Joshua Mark Thurston. We broke up on August 14th, 2007. This was one of the hardest things we could have ever done. It was complete surrender. I felt like Abraham. Laying our relationship on the altar. We had absolutely no clue where the Lord was going to bring us... what the story would look like... how much BEAUTY would come from the pain.

It's like the song says "I know my song's incomplete. Still I'll sing in the time in between". The coolest opportunities came up during this year apart. God used each of us in ways beyond ourselves. I grew into a woman that the Lord was calling me to be. Josh grew as a man in the Lord. Apart we grew closer to the Lord. This was all so that in time we would grow closer to the Lord together.

TOGETHER AS HUSBAND & WIFE. This was his plan the WHOLE time. We had to remain faithful to him during this year. We did it! I am so proud of my Joshua. He respected me and waited for me.

Wow. Time in between. Who would have known the incredible and amazing outcome?? We serve a faithful God who promises that if we obey him ... he will prove faithful. It's not a suggestion. It's not a maybe. It's truth. We are proof!

Listen Here & I pray that you can think about how the Lord has been faithful in your time in between.
